Today, her paintings are famous around the world and worth millions.
Avoiding Debt
Young people starting in life should be taught how to avoid getting themselves into debt. There is scarcely anything that drags a person down like debt. It is a slavish position to get ill, yet we find many a young man or young lady, hardly out of their “teens,” running into debt. They meet with their friends and say, “Look at this: I have got trusted for a new suit of clothes.” They seem to look upon the clothes as so much given to them; well, it frequently is so, but, if they succeed in paying and then get trusted again, they are adopting a habit which will keep them in poverty through life.
